Pat Allen

Pat Allen moved to Highlands 33 years ago and she and her late husband, also named Pat, opened a bed and breakfast and cooking school. It was so popular, no marketing was needed and even Southern Living Magazine discovered it and did a two-page story featuring it. After eight years the inn was sold, and Pat went into real estate in the small mountain town of Highlands - voted the number one small mountain town in the country by Travel and Leisure Magazine in 2024.

Pat's knowledge, determination, work ethic, and negotiation skills quickly soared her to a top producer for her twenty-four-year career in real estate. From being the BIC at Harry Norman Realtors in Highlands for seven years, 15 years ago she ventured out to open Pat Allen Realty Group. In 2024, she and her daughter, Julie Osborn, were the number one team in the company selling over sixty-eight million dollars worth of real estate! Pat continuously wins awards and breaks records. She is an avid dog lover and large supporter of the Cashiers-Highlands Humane Society as well as other humane societies throughout the country. She supports too many non-profits to name! She is a true believer in giving back. Pat enjoys writing and has done two cookbooks: Whisk Upon a Star and Mouth of the South.

Her latest book: Hurdles in a Girdle...Holding Life Together When You're Bursting at the Seams was published by the same group that published Jack Canfield's books, which are the Chicken Soup for the Soul series as well as the Success Principles. Jack endorsed Pat's book on the cover. Part of the profit is donated to Goalfriends, a non-profit that helps women struggling to get back on their feet. Her book is available on Amazon and was launched on April 25, 2024.

After the traumatic experience of losing her husband, she explored hypnotherapy - a nuero-science based method to deal with any situation where a person feels stuck, depressed, fearful, or deals with phobias, etc. In her calling to inspire and help others find joy in life, she earned her certification.

Pat is dedicated, determined, and driven, and her success is because she always makes it about her client... not herself.

In 2007, she transitioned her dedication to service into real estate in Atlanta prior to joining Pat Allen Realty Group in 2013. Originally from Northwest Florida, Greg grew up vacationing in the mountains of North Carolina — a tradition that quickly became a lifelong love for the Highlands and Cashiers area. Captivated by the beauty, charm, and sense of community found here, he and his family always knew the Plateau would one day become home. Today, that dream is a reality.

Greg holds degrees in Accounting and Finance, along with a Master of Business Administration. He and his wife met in graduate school and built a life centered on family, faith, and hard work. They are proud parents of a son and daughter-in-law who reside in San Francisco.

After a distinguished 30+ year career — including twelve years in engineering and industrial construction — Greg transitioned into real estate, bringing with him a strong analytical foundation and decades of business leadership. As a real estate investor in North Carolina, Florida, and Alabama, as well as a North Carolina small business owner, he offers extensive experience in both commercial and residential real estate. Her grandfather and father owned and operated Frank Smith Realty, serving generations of families throughout the mountains. Before transitioning into real estate, Nicole spent years in the medical field, including working alongside a team physician for the Carolina Hurricanes hockey team. Cy Timmons – Musician, Entertainer & Mountain Real Estate Broker

Broker | Scaly Mountain Specialist

Cy grew up in Atlanta Ga. At age 16 he discovered guitar and his passion for singing from an early age exploded and his road to entertain was evident.  It was not a hobby — it was his calling.

As a young man, he followed his passion to San Francisco, singing on street corners before moving into club venues, including the legendary The Purple Onion. He opened for notable performers such as Joan Rivers and Al Jarreau, gaining invaluable experience along the way. After several years, Cy chose a different path and returned to Atlanta, where he opened Café Erewhon and entertained audiences there for eleven successful years.

More than thirty years ago, Cy made the mountains of North Carolina his home, settling in Scaly Mountain. He performed locally at Market Basket in Cashiers before beginning his long-standing role at the Old Edwards Inn, where he now performs at the Hummingbird Lounge on Friday and Saturday evenings from 8–10 PM. Known for his romantic bossa nova style many couples credit his music as the soundtrack to their engagements — and even their marriages.

Beyond music, Cy has been a trusted real estate broker for over 21 years. His love for the mountains runs deep — he has hiked most of the surrounding trails and treasures the natural beauty of the region from his gentleman’s farm. He brings that same passion, integrity, and local knowledge to his clients, helping them find not just property, but a place to truly call home.
